As a child, Terri moved around, living in California and Oklahoma and eventually settled in the small community of Estacada, Oregon. After high school, Terri attended Business School in Portland. She got married and had three children, and is now a proud grandmother of seven.
When her kids all went off to school, she started working as an instructional assistant in the Estacada School District. She has since worked in schools for most of her career. After her children left “the nest”, she was asked to help with Piper’s family. This is what led her to Park Academy.
Terri has been volunteering for Park Academy for nearly 10 years. As Volunteer Coordinator, she hopes to welcome in divers volunteers to contribute in any way they can, and in turn, will develop and build relationships within the community. Terri also assists the staff in any areas needed, such as Ms. Giedt’s Theatre classes and the three plays that are put on at the end of the school year. She finds that managing the student store is one of the most rewarding parts of her day, as she gets to see the students enjoying their break and lunches. Terri finds great joy in working with children and is looking forward to helping the school grow its volunteer base.
