SUMMER SCHOOL PROGRAM
Expanding Brain Power through Enrichment & Creativity
July 10 – August 4 | Grades 3-8
8:30am – 12:00pm & 12:30pm – 4:00pm
This highly engaging and interactive four-week program of study is designed to use multi-sensory instructional methodologies to help students expand their literacy, math skills and social skills. Through intellectually stimulating and fun activities, including the use of iPad and Google Chromebook applications, students will be immersed in creative and innovative learning experiences such as math experiments, collaborative writing projects, and expeditions in the community.
Morning Session: 8:30am – 12:00pm
The Morning Summer Program at Park Academy will feature aspects of creative writing and character development in conjunction with hands on visual spatial learning, through creative projects, which may include comic book writing, dramatic script development, and videography. In addition, students will participate in social outings on a weekly basis, will engage in collaborative group problems solving, and physical fitness.
Afternoon Session: 12:30pm – 4:00pm
The Afternoon Summer Program at Park Academy will focus on science, technology, and art. Students will participate in gardening, art projects, and robotics. Students will learn planning and documentation skills through lab reports, graphic organizers and use of computer presentation software. In addition, students will participate in social outings on a weekly basis, will engage in collaborative group problems solving, and physical fitness.
Sessions are $1,000 each with $100 deposit due upon enrollment. Students can enroll in either or both sessions. Enrollment Deadline is May 31, 2017. Placement is subject to availability.
