Park Academy senior, Karen Kobrinsky, was recently recognized as a scholar by the National Hispanic Recognition Program.  The initial pool of candidates is made up of Hispanic/Lantinx students who score in the top 2.5% nationally on PSAT in their junior year.  Students have to submit an application and have an accumulated 3.5 GPA to be considered as a Scholar. This past summer, three Park Academy high school students participated in the Northwest Youth Service Corp.  Each of them was sent to various locations along the Pacific Northwest to help remove invasive species, build trails and remove undergrowth/brush.  This is HARD work.  Their time in the woods ranged from 4-6 weeks with 8-12 youth from all over the Northwest.  This […]
