Thank You

Having teachers and staff that actually cared about me and challenged me to set and achieve goals made all the difference. I was lost, they helped me find my real self.

Positive Impact

As soon as Malachi started at Park we began to see positive changes in him, his confidence began to grow.  For the first time, he actually like going to school. His academic and reading performance greatly improved after just one year. Park helped him recognize his potential by highlighting his strengths and encouraging him to keep trying.

Park Academy has limited availability in grades 3 & 5 for the 2024-2025 academic year and will continue to accept applications on a rolling basis until spots are filled.  Park Academy is no longer accepting applications for grades 4, 6, 7, or 8 for the 2024-2025 school year at this time.

  1. Documents: You will have a chance to upload important documents, including any testing, evaluations, and IEP/504 plan. Any testing or documentation you provide will further help us evaluate appropriateness of fit and efficacy of our interventions.
  2. Teacher Evaluations: We require two separate evaluations. We prefer to have an evaluation completed by the language arts and math teacher, but will accept other teachers if necessary. If you homeschool, you can complete one for both subjects. You will provide the contact information for the two teachers in the online application. To protect privacy and confidentiality, the Park Academy Admission Office will then send the form directly to the teachers, who will return the form directly to us.

After reviewing an application, your student may then be scheduled for a 2 hour tour and assessment. This assessment is not meant to be diagnostic and will determine if our interventions will be effective, evaluate academic fit with our current population, and determine next steps. From there, your student may then be scheduled for a shadow visit, where your student will have the opportunity to participate in a full school day (8:00am-3:15pm) alongside a Park Academy Student Ambassador in their prospective grade.

We are sensitive to each family’s unique circumstances and understand that many situations can lead to an inquiry and potential application outside of the priority admissions cycle. If other enrollment opportunities arise outside of our traditional admissions cycle, Park Academy will update its website and social media accordingly. In the meantime, we encourage you to reach out to Lucy Davis, Admissions Coordinator, at ldavis@parkacademy.org or 503.594.8777, and to sign up for a tour. A tour is a great first step in the admissions process and families are highly encouraged to attend prior to applying (link to tour page). Please stay in touch and we will do the same, or plan to reconnect Fall 2024 when our Priority Admissions Cycle opens for the 2025-2026 school year opens.

Please stay tuned for the application link on our website. In the meantime, we encourage you to:

  • Explore our website to learn more about our program and mission
  • Share your information with the Park Academy Admissions Office
  • Attend a tour
  • Start gathering important documents for the application
  • Identify two teachers for the teacher evaluation and their contact information

If you applied during our previous priority application cycle and were placed on our waitpool, you will receive an email early Fall 2024 to see if you want your child’s application to be considered for the 2025-2026 academic year.  Upon request, the Park Academy Admissions Office is able to roll over an application for one year and only require updated documents such as teacher evaluations and testing. Please reach out to Lucy Davis, Admissions Coordinator, for further questions or more information on how to re-apply.
