Park Academy is enriched by our volunteers who give so generously of their time and talents. We welcome parents, alumni, their families, and friends to be a part of our community as a volunteer.

Currently, we have a need for the following volunteer roles.  To apply, contact Katey Flack.  Please note that volunteer applicants must also submit a background check.  Enrolled students’ family members volunteer hours should be logged as they apply to each family’s commitment of 12 volunteer service hours each year.


GENERAL VOLUNTEERS

Administrative volunteer

  • Assist with front office tasks

Classroom assistance

  • Assist in a classroom

Field Trip Chaperone/Driver

  • Assist teacher with transportation and supervision of students on field trips. Please note this requires proof of insurance and valid driver’s license.

Piper Park Learning & Reflection Garden

  • Care for the garden when classes are not in session (weekends, summer and vacations).

FUNDRAISING

  • Serve on a fundraising committee
  • Day of event volunteers

PASTA
(Park Academy Staff and Teacher Appreciation)

Our community values the teachers and staff at Park Academy.  To honor them, one family per staff member sign up and “adopt” them for the year. Once a month (October – June) families send their adoptee a note, a small homemade treat or the like (never more than $10, though we prefer things that don’t cost anything).   Contact Katey at the front desk if you have questions. Please note that all faculty and staff have been adopted for the 2024-2025 school year. Special thanks to Tiffany, the mother of a Park Academy sixth grader who had the idea for this program and has agreed to help coordinate it.
