Alisha Christiansen

Alisha Christiansen

Alisha Christiansen brings her life-long love of teaching and learning to Park Academy. She enjoys working with students as they discover acting, voice and articulation, theatre appreciation, performance writing, directing, dramatic structure, theatre history, and stagecraft/stage production.

She’s an active member of Portland Playwrights (PDXP) and has produced several plays with PDXP as part of the Fertile Ground Festival in Portland.

As the mother of 4 children, Alisha has been involved with elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools in a variety of volunteer capacities including musicals, talent shows, and more. She’s also volunteered extensively with Black Swan Youth Theatre, and worked with Portland Playhouse Summer Camps for Youth.

Appreciating theatre is one of Alisha’s favorite hobbies. She’s organized student tour groups to see theatre in London, chaperoned student weekends at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, and planned field trips for friends to see plays in Portland.

Alisha graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre and Media Arts, and a Master of Arts degree in Theatre History & Criticism, both from Brigham Young University. She’s taught as an adjunct at BYU, as an online instructor at BYU-I, and as both an adjunct and online instructor at MHCC.

Coming from a family of educators, Alisha is happy to work with the Park Academy team. She loves sharing the joy of learning.  Connection through the arts is a priority for her. She’s excited for all she will learn from both her students and colleagues here at Park Academy this year.
