Rebecca Gerringer is in her 25th year in education. Previously, she has been a classroom teacher, a K – 1 Reading Interventionist, a K – 6 Instructional Math Coach, a district-level TOSA (Teacher On Special Assignment) as an Instructional Coach to 3 elementary schools, a TAG (Talented and Gifted ) teacher and building level coordinator, and she has worked with many students from varying backgrounds in the public school setting. She joins Park Academy as a Middle School Math, Science and Robotics teacher.
Rebecca has multiple Master’s degrees in education:
Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from Walden University
Sp Ed from Colorado State University/Pueblo
Principal Licensure from University of Colorado/Colorado Springs
She has designed whole-school Math instruction and intervention models that provide targeted and focused support, specific to students’ needs. She has worked on state and district level committees to explore Math standards and practices, and curriculum/assessment alignment.
Rebecca’s passion is helping children discover the joy and beauty of Mathematics. Her ongoing goal is to build Mathematical thinking, reasoning, and understanding wherever she goes. In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys Sudoku, nature walks, gardening, spending time with her family and animals, and camping.
