Mayrangela Cervantes

Development Coordinator

Mayrangela Cervantes was born in a small town in eastern Washington, but has lived in Oregon most of her life, growing up in northeast Portland. She graduated from Whitman College with a B.A. in Writing, Rhetoric, and Public Discourse and a minor in Race in Ethnic Studies. 

In her pursuit to be of service to others, Mayrangela has worked various community-facing positions, such as a paralegal working in eviction defense and separately working with unaccompanied minors arriving in the U.S. She also worked in public involvement, facilitating community participation across various public projects. Being bilingual also allows Mayrangela to connect with Spanish-speaking communities.

Mayrangela lives in SE Portland with her partner, Tim, and their dog, Mezcal. She likes to read, garden, and hangout with her family.
