Stacy DeBuhr

Substitute Teacher

Stacy DeBuhr grew up in a Chicago suburb. She graduated from Ithaca College with a Bachelor of Arts in English Education grades 7-12 and a minor in Spanish. Following graduation she taught a first grade Spanish bilingual class in Oakland, CA through Teach For America. She spent one more year in Oakland teaching 9th grade English before moving to Dresden, Germany with her husband. Over the next seven years, Ms. DeBuhr worked at the Dresden International School primarily as a Language Arts teacher for grades 6-8.  

In 2010, Ms. DeBuhr returned to the United States and was able to stay home with her two children. After relocating with her family to Oregon In 2022, she started working as a substitute teacher. During the summer of 2024, Ms. DeBuhr completed Orton-Gillingham training and started working as a tutor for the Park Center. She is looking forward to being a part of the Park Academy community.

In her free time, Ms. DeBuhr enjoys reading, hiking, cooking, walking her dog, and spending time with her family.
