Counselor

Susan Shuford is passionate about helping students nurture and grow their unique gifts and talents, work through personal challenges and fulfill their educational and career goals!

Susan began her professional career as a Clinical Therapist, has been a Counselor and Director of Counseling at the university level, and for 12 years worked overseas as an International School Counselor in China and Laos.  A lifelong learner, she completed her Master of Arts in Human Development and Psychological Counseling, and has her MS and Licensure in Marriage & Family Therapy.

Susan loves being a part of the diverse and committed team at Park Academy! At home she enjoys being of service to the community, spending time with family & friends, (including her Siamese cats Pearl & Milo!), doing Yoga, hiking, baking, and exploring the world, near and far.
